HooBuy Spreadsheet: PandaBuy's Zero-Fee Model, Plus the Small Print to Read First

Checked · the PandaBuy Alternatives desk

Short answer

HooBuy is open and, on the surface, the closest match to PandaBuy's pricing: no service fee advertised and six free HD QC photos per item, with extra photos at ¥1. rep.tools credits it with the broadest platform coverage of the big agents. The small print is different. KakoGuide quotes HooBuy's user agreement as reserving 8% of the purchase price and 8% of shipping, and items left beyond 90 days are treated as abandoned. Its Trustpilot record is split: 3.8/5 from 567 reviews, with 29% one-star.

16 finds HooBuy can open

Weidian listings of the kind old PandaBuy sheets carried, chosen across categories. Each tile opens repbuysheet.com with every seller photo. The shop behind a tile usually sells the whole range, and the catalog holds 10,000+ products across those shops.

Sponsored links. Photo, name and button all open one listing on repbuysheet.com, where the seller's full photo set, the size options and the source shop link live. Dollar and yuan prices are copied from that catalog on the check date and move with the exchange rate.

HooBuy against PandaBuy, term by term

PandaBuy built its popularity on 'no service fee', and HooBuy markets itself the same way. Compared line by line:

HooBuy: KakoGuide (Jun 6, 2026), rep.tools ranking, Trustpilot (Sept 2026). PandaBuy: Extrabux, CNBuyPilot.

On photos HooBuy is clearly better than PandaBuy was: six high-resolution shots instead of four, and cheap extras. Its storage rule is stricter in practice, because 'abandoned' after 90 days means you can lose the items rather than pay a storage fee. And the 8% clause means 'no fee' is a marketing promise rather than a contractual one.

Verdict: Better photos than PandaBuy, similar headline pricing, harsher storage rule. Ship well inside 90 days.

HooBuy's small print, in three points

Three points from HooBuy's terms, as KakoGuide reports them, are worth knowing before you pay for an order:

  1. The 8% reservation. The agreement allows HooBuy to charge up to 8% of the purchase price and 8% of shipping. We haven't seen evidence it's routinely applied, but screenshot your cart breakdown so you can tell if it is.
  2. Abandonment after 90 days. Items still in the warehouse after the free period can be treated as abandoned. Set a reminder at day 75.
  3. Few replies to complaints. KakoGuide found HooBuy answering only about a fifth of negative reviews, so don't count on fast support if something goes wrong.

None of that makes HooBuy unusable; plenty of the five-star reviews describe smooth hauls and good photos. It means the habits that would have protected PandaBuy users are doubly useful here: small balances, prompt shipping, and your own record of every charge.

Verdict: Use HooBuy with screenshots and a calendar reminder, and you get its photos without carrying its risks.

Moving links to and from HooBuy

HooBuy links in community sheets carry the original item ID, as do PandaBuy's long links, so moving between them is a conversion job, not a search:

  • PandaBuy to HooBuy: convert the PandaBuy link with the link converter and paste the Weidian or Taobao result into HooBuy.
  • HooBuy to another agent: same process. HooBuy's short links only work while HooBuy's servers redirect them, so keep the long version.
  • Mixed sheets: keep one column of marketplace links as the master; agent links can be regenerated whenever you switch.

On reviews, the 64% five-star and 29% one-star shares describe two different experiences: hauls that went through easily, and disputes that didn't get answered. The second group is where the small print shows up. For a calmer review record, compare Superbuy or MyCNBox.

Verdict: Keep marketplace links as your master copy and HooBuy is easy to try and easy to leave.

Does HooBuy open every row of an old sheet?

HooBuy is often recommended for its coverage: rep.tools describes it as having the broadest platform coverage among the large agents. For an old PandaBuy sheet that's useful in a specific way. PandaBuy sheets weren't only Weidian and Taobao; some rows pointed at 1688 wholesale listings, Tmall stores or smaller platforms that not every agent handles. An agent that accepts more platforms means fewer rows you have to drop or hunt for elsewhere.

Before relying on that, test it on your own sheet:

  1. Convert ten rows from different platforms with the link converter.
  2. Paste them into HooBuy one by one and note which open a product page with the right price and options.
  3. For any that fail, try the same link at a second agent; if both fail, the listing itself has probably gone.

The result tells you more than any ranking. If HooBuy opens nearly everything and its six free photos suit you, it's a practical home for a mixed sheet. If the split in its reviews (64% five-star against 29% one-star) makes you uneasy, use it for the rows only it can buy and send the rest through an agent with a calmer record.

Verdict: Use HooBuy's wide coverage for the awkward rows of an old sheet, and pay per order.

HooBuy questions from PandaBuy users

Is HooBuy like PandaBuy?

On headline pricing, yes: no service fee is advertised and QC photos are free. It actually beats PandaBuy on photos, with six HD shots per item against PandaBuy's 4, plus extras at ¥1. The differences sit in the terms: KakoGuide says the user agreement reserves up to 8%, and items left past 90 days count as abandoned. Ship well before that point.

Does HooBuy charge a service fee?

None is advertised, which is how HooBuy markets itself. KakoGuide, however, quotes its user agreement as reserving the right to charge 8% of the purchase price and 8% of shipping. We haven't seen proof it's routinely applied, so the practical answer is to screenshot each cart breakdown. If an 8% line ever appears, you'll have the evidence to question it.

How many QC photos does HooBuy give?

Six free high-resolution photos per item, according to KakoGuide, and any extra photo costs ¥1. That's more than PandaBuy's 4 and one of HooBuy's real strengths. Use the extras for things the standard set may miss, such as a measurement, a label or a close-up of stitching. For clothing and trainers, HooBuy's photo allowance alone makes it worth considering.

What happens after 90 days at HooBuy?

According to KakoGuide's reading of the terms, items still in the warehouse after the 90-day free period can be treated as abandoned. That's harsher than a storage fee, because you can lose the goods outright. Set a reminder around day 75 for every item and ship before the deadline. KakoGuide also found HooBuy answers only about a fifth of negative reviews, so don't count on leniency.

Can I convert PandaBuy links for HooBuy?

Yes. Paste the PandaBuy column into the link converter, take the original Weidian or Taobao link it returns and enter that into HooBuy's search. rep.tools credits HooBuy with the broadest platform coverage of the big agents, so awkward rows from 1688 or Tmall are more likely to open. Test ten mixed rows first, and keep the marketplace links as your master column.

Is HooBuy safe for a former PandaBuy user?

It's an open agent with 567 Trustpilot reviews averaging 3.8/5, but the record is split: 64% five-star against 29% one-star. The happy reviews describe smooth hauls and good photos; the unhappy ones are mostly disputes that went unanswered. That one-star share is high, so start small, pay per order, and keep screenshots of every charge. Used that way, HooBuy is reasonable to try.

Does HooBuy really charge 8%?

Not as advertised. HooBuy's headline fee is zero; the 8% of item price and 8% of shipping come from its user agreement, which KakoGuide quotes as reserving the right to charge them. On a ¥1,000 order that would be ¥80 on items alone. We haven't seen evidence it's applied routinely. Check each order's breakdown against your cart total to see what you actually paid.
